TAP Study Analysis Report by: Alankrita Pandey and Jason Lambert University of Texas at Arlington

An analysis for the follow up period (one year after TAP Team) used a pairwise custom comparison analysis of variance for general linear models indicate that significant linear trends were found for all seven factors. Across seven of the eight factors, participant’s perceptions of improvement significantly increased from quarter to quarter, all ps < .01. Additionally, a significant decrease (ps<.01) is also observed between the fourth quarter and the final follow up measurement period conducted after the conclusion of the study. However, the decrease in the participants’ perceptions of improvement while not on a TAP Team remains significantly higher than that of the third quarter when they were on a team. Additionally, when participants were asked if they believed their scores would be higher if they were still on a TAP Team today, 100% responded with yes. The chart below (Chart 1) depicts participants’ perceptions of an increase or decrease in blood pressure, cholesterol, weight, smoking, safety, and managing conditions. All those applicable reported a decrease in each category including “managing conditions” suggesting that their ability to manage their health risks decreased while not on a TAP team.
