Sri Beldona, Ph. D., University of Dallas, Business Administration Professor

Sri Beldona, Ph. D., is no stranger to the corporate world. Many years in the field as an executive allowed him opportunities for deep involvement in the fast-paced corporate world. It was in 2001 when Beldona made a change of direction in his life and decided to leave the corporate world to pursue his true passion-teaching. The University of Dallas provided him with such an opportunity, and he began teaching business courses at the graduate level..

Beldona earned a Ph.D. in Business Administration, with a concentration in International Business and Strategic Management, as well as a Master of Science in International Business from Temple University. Prior to that, he earned a M.B.A. in Marketing from Poona University in India.

Besides his teaching experience (at Temple and UTD), Beldona brings with him a number of years of professional experience. This experience includes working as a vice president of strategic planning and finance for Marketing Management, Inc. He has also held the position of executive assistant to the vice president in Blue Star, Ltd., located in India. While at UD, Beldona has contributed to the academic world by publishing works related to marketing and international business. His most recent paper coauthored with Dr. Scott Wysong (2004), is titled, "When Should a Firm Use Billboard Advertising? A Conceptual Look at Differing Levels of Recall," which was published in the Journal of International Business and Entrepreneurship.

Beldona has participated in many conferences as a guest speaker, having presented works in India, Holland, South Korea, Sweden, China, Ecuador, and Poland. While in India in December 2004, he was invited to speak at the Jaipur Press Club on Globalization and its impact on India. He has also presented papers at various national conferences.
